Robert Bartleh Cummings (born January 12, 1965), known professionally as Rob Zombie, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, filmmaker, and actor. He is known for music and imagery influenced by horror and science fiction themes, as well as theatrical live performances associated with shock rock. He first gained recognition as the founder and lead vocalist of the heavy metal band White Zombie, with whom he released several studio albums before beginning a solo career. Zombie's first solo release was the 1996 song "Hands of Death (Burn Baby Burn)", recorded with Alice Cooper. The song received a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. His debut solo album, "Hellbilly Deluxe", was released in 1998 and sold more than three million copies worldwide.
