Halford is an American heavy metal band formed in 1999 by English singer Rob Halford, who is best known as the lead vocalist for the heavy metal band Judas Priest. The band was established to allow Halford to return to his heavy metal roots after his previous projects, the "street metal"-style band Fight and the industrial metal band 2wo. The band’s first album, "Resurrection", was released in 2000 and received critical acclaim. It was later included in Martin Popoff’s book "The Top 500 Heavy Metal Albums of All Time", with the songs "Silent Screams" and the title track "Resurrection" also being highlighted. The track "The One You Love to Hate" features vocals by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. Halford’s second studio album, "Crucible", was released in 2002.
