Ratt (stylized as RATT) is an American glam metal band that formed in Hollywood in the early 1970s, originally under the names Firedome, Crystal Pystal, and Mickey Ratt, before shortening to Ratt in 1977. The band achieved commercial success in the 1980s, with albums certified gold, platinum, and multi-platinum by the RIAA, and hit singles including "Round and Round", "Lay It Down", "Wanted Man", "You're in Love", and "Dance". Ratt, along with bands such as Mötley Crüe, has been recognized as influential in the development of the Los Angeles glam metal scene, also known as hair metal or pop metal. The band toured and recorded intermittently from the 1990s to 2021, releasing their final studio album, "Infestation", in 2010. The early lineups of Mickey Ratt featured singer Stephen Pearcy and several musicians including Robbin Crosby, Warren DeMartini, and Juan Croucier. After signing with Atlantic Records, Ratt released a self-titled EP in 1983, which sold over 100,000 copies, followed b
