Lisa Jane Stansfield (born 11 April 1966) is an English singer, songwriter and actress. She began her career after winning the "Search for a Star" singing competition in 1980. Following appearances on television and the release of several singles, she formed the band Blue Zone with Ian Devaney and Andy Morris in the mid-1980s. After contributing vocals to Coldcut's "People Hold On" in 1989, she launched a solo career. Stansfield achieved international success with her debut solo album "Affection" (1989), which included the single "All Around the World". The album sold more than five million copies worldwide and received multi-platinum certifications in several countries.
