Kim Petras is a German singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. She first gained international attention due to her early gender transition and subsequent media coverage as a teenager. She released her debut EP, One Piece of Tape, in 2011 and later worked as a songwriter for artists including Fergie, JoJo, Skylar Stecker, and Twice. Her debut single, I Don't Want It at All, was released in August 2017, followed by Heart to Break,in 2018, which reached number 52 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. She later released the EPs Turn Off the Light, Vol. 1," (2018), Clarity (2019), and Slut Pop (2022), along with multiple singles including " How It's Done (2019), which appeared on the soundtrack of "Charlie's Angels", and "Broken Glass" (2020), which reached number 23 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
