Derrick Green

Derrick Green (born January 20, 1971) is the vocalist for the heavy metal band Sepultura, whom he joined after the departure of their previous vocalist Max Cavalera in 1997. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Derrick was a singer for thrash metal/hardcore band Outface (with guitarist Charlie Gerriga of CIV, and Frank Cavanagh of Prong and Filter among others), Krop Acid and several other hardcore bands, the last of which prior to joining Sepultura was Alpha Jerk. Outside of his main work fronting Sepultura, he has also performed guest vocals on Integrity's Integrity 2000 album on the track Never Surrender and on Biohazard's Uncivilization on the song Trap (alongside fellow Sepultura member Andreas Kisser). In 2008 he joined the side-project Musica Diablo, a crossover thrash metal band with members of Nitrominds, Ação Direta and Dead Fish.
