Although the project Balbúrdia to be older, the month of May 1996 is the witness of the first official testing. The embryonic state of the band had its genesis in the activities of the group K20, to incorporate some elements of the current mess. In this first phase are written some songs ( "Não há Problema," "Amigo do Povo"). After a dozen trials decide the honorable record set of notes issued so far. Thus, the 31/07/96, and after 3 hours in the studio Clic in Coimbra to be tested, was made to capture the sound of that test. Comes the first recorded "Ao vivo np estúdio ...". On September 21 this year in Sandwich Bar (Soure), and with the support of the very special countryman Nuno Rafael (ex-Despe & Siga), Balbúrdia had their "baptism" live.
