Tim Bergling (8 September 1989 – 20 April 2018), known professionally as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer. He began posting remixes on electronic music forums at age 16, which led to his first record deal. He gained international recognition in 2011 with the single "Levels". His debut studio album, "True" (2013), combined electronic music with elements of multiple genres and received generally positive reviews, reaching the top 10 in over 15 countries and topping several international charts. The lead single, "Wake Me Up", achieved widespread commercial success, reaching number one in most European countries and number four in the United States. In 2015, Avicii released his second studio album, "Stories", followed by the extended play "Avīci (01)" in 2017.
